A very generous donation of medicines and a Toyota 4x4 GX S/Wagon were recently made by “Care Now” MMA are extremely grateful for this donation.

Brain Sice and myself left Kitwe at 03.00hrs in the morning in order to be at METS in Ndola for 04.00hrs where we met Mr. Bowen and Ms Chitambo.  We set off at 04.30hrs and reached Lusaka 09.30hrs.  Our first priority was to meet Mike, Stephanie and Susan at Arcades shopping centre where we had tea and coffee and discussed their previous missions to Mumbwa and Sinanzongwe.  We were also introduced to Alfred, the Lusaka based audiologist who is planning to supply hearing aids to the people in the rural areas.  Mission Medic-Air confirmed its support for the project.

After our discussion we followed Mike, Stephanie and Susan to the house where the Toyota GX Cruiser 4x4 10 seater was parked and Mike showed us the vehicle and all the previous repairs he had done on it which he had carefully logged.  After Mike had finished showing us the vehicle Mr. Bowen offered the one thousand dollars previous mentioned by them for the car but they refused the money and said the car along with twenty nine thousand dollars worth of medicines were a donation from their association Care Now Foundation in the US.

We thanked Mike, Stephanie and Susan for their generous donation to Mission Medic Air and proceeded to help load the medicines.  After we had finished loading we exchanged e mail addresses to keep in touch and set off for Ndola where we arrived late the same evening feeling emotionally overwhelmed by the day’s events.
